GreenRoof Vento
A raised-frame solar mount designed to sit above sedum/green roof layers allowing airflow and vegetation growth underneath.

GreenRoof Vento is unique because it sits higher than many other biosolar systems. This raised design gives excellent airflow under the panels, which improves solar efficiency and helps maintain healthier vegetation below. It’s also very durable — K2 is known for premium engineering, clean aluminium profiles, and long system lifespans. Vento feels more like a “proper solar frame” and less like a low-lying biosolar block.
This makes it a great choice for roofs where shading and airflow matter. The higher clearance means plants underneath don’t suffer from darkness or lack of growth. Sedum stays healthier, insects thrive, and the whole roof stays more vibrant. It’s also good when the client wants a system that looks technically advanced and robust. K2’s engineering quality makes it easy to assemble, adjust, and align rows cleanly.
But there are trade-offs. Because Vento sits higher, it catches more wind, which means wind-exposed sites may require extra engineering or ballast. It’s also more visible from the ground, which some clients don’t love. And it’s a more premium-priced option. Finally, like all biosolar systems, it’s not the best choice if the client wants the absolute maximum solar output — the layout is driven by biodiversity and spacing, not pure yield.
Overall, Vento is best for eco roofs where the client wants a taller, cooler-running, high-quality frame instead of something low and compact.
